All you need to use the netfiles data room is a web browser and an internet connection, there is no need for any additional software. The netfiles data room is offered as a SaaS (Software as a Service), which means that it can be put to use immediately. Because of its intuitive user interface, the data room can be used even by less-experienced users without any training.
As well as being user-friendly, the netfiles data room stands out due to its comprehensive security features. These include the detailed access rights that can be assigned on document or folder level, so that user groups, depending on settings, can only view certain documents with a watermark, or not at all. In the netfiles data room, documents are encrypted not just during transfer, but also when they are stored, using 256-bit encryption. As is common in virtual data rooms, you can control whether or not users can print and download documents. Watermarks with user name and a time stamp can be dynamically inserted to protect unauthorized use of documents using screenshots.
Access to the netfiles data room can also be further secured, using a 2-factor SMS authentication (mTan process) or biometric identification as well as normal login. A detailed activity log documents all actions and results in the data room with time stamps. Modern software and security technologies, hosting in Germany in an ISO/IEC 27001-certified data center and regular security checks complete the netfiles service.
