Indexing, new reports and other new functions

netfiles GmbH, one of the leading providers of virtual data rooms in Germany, presents a comprehensive new development of the netfiles data room. The update, which is available to customers now, offers extensive new functions and improvements.

A key enhancement is the new functionality of automatic indexing of data room content and the option of using a customer-specific index or an industry standard index when creating a data room. With automatic indexing, documents are automatically provided with an index number for unique identification after uploading them into the netfiles data room. Optionally, documents that already had an index number in the file name before the upload can be automatically sorted into the index in the netfiles data room. In addition to this new function, an own customer specific index can now be uploaded and used as folder structure for the data room when creating netfiles data rooms. Alternatively, netfiles offers its own standard index for carrying out due diligence or for commercial real estate transactions by the Gesellschaft für Immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung e.V. (Society for Real Estate Research).

Besides the new index functions, the current version of the netfiles data room offers further improvements and new functions:

• New reports provide netfiles data room administrators with detailed information about the number of logins, document views, downloads and Q&A questions of individual users and user groups. This allows a detailed analysis for examples of the bidding behavior in a corporate or real estate transaction.

• In addition to personal labels, data room users can now assign group labels to folders and files. Group labels are visible to all users in a selected user group.

• Data room exports can now be customized to include only data room contents and lists accessible to selected users.
