Secure Office integration in the data room
Online editing of Office files directly in the netfiles data room allows you to open documents, spreadsheets and presentations in your browser and collaborate on them – without downloading them or using additional software. All common Office file formats, including .docx, .pptx and .xlsx, are supported. Thanks to automatic versioning, all changes are tracked. To avoid accidental duplicates, a document is locked during editing – but it can still be viewed by other users.
The online Office solution is based on Collabora, is fully compliant with data protection regulations and represents a secure, independent alternative to US-based providers like Microsoft Office365. During processing, no data is transmitted to servers in the USA or even outside Germany: Processing takes place exclusively on netfiles' own highly secure servers.
