Extranet for iPhone Users
netfiles now offers an optimized interface for accessing team documents using an iPhone.
netfiles version 5.0 enables netfiles users to access their important documents without having to carry their Notebook around with them. Work colleagues, customers and partners can now use their Applie iPhone to access all kinds of documents in the central project space easily and securely. Not only does the new version provide web-based access over iPhone to the data files stored on netfiles, you can also use it to manage users and access rights. Uploading new documents is made possible via e-mail.
Flexible and Secure
The access to netfiles over the iPhone is carried out with the highest level of security standards. “Providing access over mobile devices is still a huge challenge for many businesses. The interface for iPhone has definite advantages.” explains Thomas Krempl, founder and executive director of netfiles GmbH. The data on the Extranet is saved in professional and secure computing centers. The iPhone interface works the same as accessing data over a PC, which is carried out over HTTPS. Since documents are only displayed and not saved, there is no security risk even if you accidentally lose your iPhone.
