Whether it's data exchange with branch offices and associated companies, with customers, suppliers and business partners or within project teams working at different locations. Even when working in the home office, the netfiles data room is a secure and quick and easy to use solution for securely exchanging confidential data with company headquarters or business partners and customers.

The virtual data room offers the highest level of data exchange security by encrypting the data during transmission and storage, user-specific access rights, extended document protection and seamless logging of all activities in the data room.

The cost depends on the package you order. netfiles Data Room is available in three versions: Essential, Professional and Premium. Essential is ideal for smaller companies, providing basic data room functionality for secure data exchange between locations. Standard netfiles support is available via e-mail.

The Professional version can be used not only to share documents, but also for online collaboration across multiple locations. Additional comment and annotation functions are available. Office documents can be edited simultaneously by multiple users, and videoconference functionality is supported.

Beyond these additions, the Premium version also allows documents and content to be protected by disclaimers, watermarks and redaction functions. Multiple data rooms can be operated in parallel, and extensive individual adaptations can be made.

You can book netfiles Data Room in either the Essential, the Professional or the Premium version. Essential gives you 10 GB per user, Professional 50 GB and Premium 100 GB.

The netfiles data room can also be configured quickly and easily. You can create users and groups either individually or, more conveniently, by simply importing a CSV list. You can save folders and files in the netfiles data room in a single step by uploading a ZIP file that is then unpacked automatically in netfiles.

netfiles supports all commercially available office, PDF and image formats. Depending on the access rights assigned to individual users, either the original file or write-protected PDF files are shown in the data room. How much data storage space is available depends on which package you book.

Office documents can be edited in the data room itself – even by multiple individuals at the same time. In addition, videoconferences and online meetings can be held within netfiles.

Alongside data room administrators, you can also create user groups and assign individual access rights to each group. In this way, you specify which users can read, edit, download, print or not even be allowed to see which documents.

Users can be created easily by uploading a CSV list. Alternatively, they can be created individually. Each new user automatically receives an e-mail to activate their netfiles access. You can assign access rights for individual files or entire folders. Different access rights are available to choose from depending on which version of netfiles Data Room you purchase.

netfiles features an integrated search engine in which you can enter search arguments to quickly find the documents you are looking for. "Smart lists" in the data room also let you look specifically for new or unread files or files that need to be processed.

Even the lowest priced version of netfiles offers you 100 GB of storage space. You can flexibly expand the storage space at any time.

You can export all documents, activity logs and the data room index in an open file format.

Yes, netfiles automatically versions your files in the virtual data room. Every change can thus be traced and earlier versions can be restored.

In the netfiles data room, your data is protected by 256-bit encryption during both storage and transmission. Full legal compliance is ensured by the fact that all data is hosted and the online platform is operated at highly secure data centers in Germany.

Your data will only ever be stored in highly secure, ISO/IEC 27001 certified data centers in Germany.

All activities are recorded in an audit-proof, GDPR-compliant log file.

netfiles is fully compliant with ISO/IEC 27001:2202, ISO 22301:2019 and SOC 2. It also possesses C5 certification from the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
